We were or still are, wells without water. Clouds that are or were carried with a tempest; Having or had eyes full of adultery, and that could not cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: hearts exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Forsaking the right way. Feeding ourselves with the lusts of the flesh without fear: clouds we are or were without water, carried about by the winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. God would have that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. But speaking the truth in love, growing up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: The Word which was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. So let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. The pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Come. And let him that is athirst come.
