Jesus said, "Love is the fulfilling of the Law." The law is our love gauge, our life gauge. If our loving does not measure up to this gauge we are missing the mark, thereby causing hurt and dismay. Jesus said, Love God and our fellow man with all our heart, mind and soul. To love in this manner is to know God and our brothers and sisters empathetically. Sin which is based on self serving hinders this. The gift of the Gospel enables us to have our hearts and minds cleansed from the self serving, sinful preservation, of our own lives and feelings. To the preservation of what God wants and the good for others. Jesus said, love one another, as I have loved you. No Greater love have no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. This is the essence of God and knowing Him; selflessness. This is who God is, what love is, and what He has enabled in each and everyone of us through Jesus Christ.
