The Gospel, the New Covenant. Ask and you shall receive

This is the covenant which I will covenant to them after those days, says the Lord: Giving My Laws on their hearts, and I will write them on their minds;and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will not remember no longer, not ever. MT-Jer. 31:33, 34 But where remission of these is, there is no longer offering concerning sins. (Heb 10:16-18 KJ3) In English remission can mean forgiveness or the reduction of the intensity of something: to reduce in intensity, or reduce the intensity of something. Reduction or disappearance, lessening of something. But it can also mean restore something: to restore something to a previous condition or position. Now if we consider that remission is ἄφεσις in the Greek and means: Freedom. Dismissal and or Release from bondage or imprisonment. To cause to stand away. What we get is a reduction or disappearence in the intensity of something that causes restoration. For Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. So let me ask if our sins are in remission what are they or what has been done to them? John the Baptist Had this to say About Jesus in John 1:29 . He said, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John the Apostle gave further testimony in 1 John 3:5 . He says, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Peter shared in 1Peter 2:24, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. This was not a new revelation it was a prophesy from Isaiah 53:5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace our Shalom, our completeness was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. So have faith and be healed. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant (a slave) of sin. And the servant (sinner) abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. So lets be free!!! Our sins have been placed in remission!!!! They have been taken away!!! Heb 9:14; 1 John 3:5; Heb 10:4 say: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. But we know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Through the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience (our inner man, our hearts and minds ) from dead works ( sin, acts that cause death) to serve the living God? There are 2 other places in the NT that αφεσις is in the same case and gender. One is within the same letter and context. So to better drive home this truth let me share that also. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (αφεσις). Heb 9:21,22 Our sins are purged from us as the vessels of the ministry have been purged, we have been cleansed. We are vessels sanctified, made fit to serve the living God. We are healed. Whatever the sin is, it is αφεσις (released from it's confines, from our hearts and minds) It is purged from us. There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek ( the Heathen Gentile). One Lord, one faith, one baptism: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. But what saith He? The word is nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it, that is the word of faith, which we preach. That the gentiles should hear the word of the Gospel and believe. And God which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost even as (a direct comparison) He did unto us. And put no difference between us and them, purifying (purge)their hearts by faith. Believing that through the grace of the Lord Jesus the Christ we (Israel)shall be saved even as(a direct comparison) they. Even when we were dead in sins, hath he quickened us together with, the Christ,Whom God set forth to be a propitiation(atoning victim) through faith in his blood. The blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your Conscience(our inner inward man, the heart and mind)from dead works(acts that lead to death, sin)to serve the living God. For this cause he is the mediator of the new. For thus saith the lord:I will put my Laws into their mind and write them in their hearts:and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them;and I will be their God and they shall be my people. Strengthened by might by His Spirit in the inner man, Christ in us the hope of Glory. Filled with all the fullness of God for it is He that worketh in us both to will and do His good pleasure. Through His divine power He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Lord we believe help thou our unbelief!! Rom10:12,9; Deut30:14; Acts15:7,8,9,11; Eph2:5; Rom3:2 5; Heb10:14,15; 2cor6:16; Eph3:19,17,16; 2Pet1:3 This is the Gospel the new covenant fufilled in all believers

Lightbearing lightbearers

Jesus is the True Light, that lighteth every man cometh into this world. We must believe in the light, that we may be the children of light. For we were sometimes darkness, but now are we light in the Lord: walk as children of light. For the night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let your light so shine before men, blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation that they may see your good works, among whom ye shine as lights in the world, that they glorify your Father which is in heaven. For if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit through you be rather glorious? Eph 5:8; Matt 5:14,16; Romans 13:12; Phil 2:15; 2 Cor 3:7-8; John 12:35-36; 11:8-10

God says in 1 Cor. 3: 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. We are God's. His building. His vineyard. This verse speaks of each and every believer individually and God's ownership of them and His laboring with the labors to ensure the vineyard continues to be fruitful, His building remain stable. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. Our foundation is laid, Jesus Christ. This is confirmed in verse 11 "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." What makes up the rest of the believer is based upon the doctrine that a "master builder" like Paul or another used on them and or their acceptance of the building material used in constructing them. So if we have a ministry, (are a builder by the Grace of God like Paul) whose duty is the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: We need take heed how we buildeth thereupon. In other words we need to be sure what we are teaching or showing is truth and of God. If we take part in the building of a house, a convert and use shady material, false doctrine it will not hold up. Will it? Same applies to the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. False doctrine will only destroy those who allow themselves to be built with it. Let's classify the doctrinal building material. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; The Foundation is Jesus Christ. That does not change. We as converts are the building material. What type of building material we are will depend on our acceptance of the New Covenant, the writing, or the putting of His will, His Commandments, His Love on our hearts and minds. This is the Gospel, the establishing of His Kingdom, His Spirit within us. For it is He that worketh in us both to will and do His good pleasure. Not us but Christ. The building material that a professing Christian is depends on their acceptance of the Gospel. They will be as either gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or stubble. 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. Upon the Judgment Day every man's work, the converts, those under their ministry shall be manifested. A professing Christian is what they believe and do. If they are Gold, silver or precious stones they will be refined or cleansed. If they are wood, hay, or stubble they will be burned up, because that is what happens to it when fire is introduced to it. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Some might take the latter part of verse fifth-teen to say that even though the minister was a heretic in spreading false doctrine and because of their ministry people were lead astray and were burned up on the Judgement Day that they themselves are saved. That is not what the verse is saying at all. Otherwise the admonition in verse ten to take heed would be for naught. Usually what ends up happening when building is various tradesmen come to do the various aspects of building, Brick layers, Carpenters, Roofers...etc; etc. So is it with the making of a Christian. "And he gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists, some pastors and teachers. So just as if a tradesman might not be very apt at his trade and use faulty material or poor craftsmanship so is it with ministers with false doctrine or the leading by poor example as to how a Christian is to act. Through God if we are and have used the Gold, the Silver, and or the Precious Stones, at some point in the edification of any convert or ourselves; we did our part with God. But it is up to the building, the convert weather or not they keep it within themselves. If they have not, and they have let another builder build and they use wood, hay and stubble and this is what they are made of. They will not hold up on the Last Day and they will be destroyed by God's cleansing fire. But because we had the privilege to know them and lovingly share the precious gems that our Lord has placed in our capable hands for the edifying, the building of those would be of the the house hold of God, the body of Christ, We will suffer loss because we love them for God is Love and as He is so are we. We love them so much They are as a part of us, but they are destroyed, so sad we will be. But we will be saved. Because we did our part through God and shared His precious treasures found in His Word. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. We need to take heed as verse ten admonishes. Because if we use inadequate material or lead by poor example and cause a child of God to be defiled by it, we ourselves are defiled by the use of the inadequate material; the spreading of heresy. So we will be destroyed also. This is what verse sixteen and seventeen unfold.

Lets take a look at this truth in Col 1:6, “The grace of God in truth.” What is truth? In the Greek it is ἀλήθεια . It is stated in Abbott- Smith’s work, Objectively it is, "the reality lying at the basis of an appearance; the manifested, veritable essence of a matter" In other words what something is. It’s appearance as Liddell, Scott, and Jones share in their citation. It’s root word is ἀληθής. And this word is a compound word derived from αandλανθάνω . Not Hidden respectively. Or as Mickelson’s work sites ( not concealing). In the LXX it is used quite extensively to translate a wide variety of Hebrew words in various text. Lets take a look at them and how they are basically defined and understood in the BDB Lexicon of Hebrew words . The first word we will look at is אוּר. pronounced oor. It means flame or mind you light. Another word was אמוּן. Which is pronounce ay-moon' it means established and it’s root means to foster, nurture develop, keep alive. Also there was אמנה It is pronounced em-oo-naw', This word literally firmness; figuratively security; moral fidelity: and typically is translated faith. Then there is אמת pronounced eh'-meth And it means stability. We must also consider ישׁרpronounced yaw-shawr' straight (literally or figuratively). It is translated convenient, equity, just. And is from ישׁר Pronounced yaw-shar' which means; to be straight or even; figuratively to be (causatively to make) right, pleasant, prosperous. And of courseיצּיב pronounced yats-tseeb' and means fixed, sure; Plus there is כּוּן Pronounced koon Which is a primitive root; an means to be erect (that is, stand perpendicular);. hence (causatively) to set up, in a great variety of applications, whether literal (establish, fix, prepare, apply), or figurative (appoint, render sure, proper or prosperous) And נכח Pronounced naw-ko'-akh Which means straightforward, that is, (figuratively), equitable, correct, or (abstractly), integrity. Then there is קשׁט pronounced kesh-ote', and it means fidelity. And finally תּם pronounced tome and means completeness; figuratively prosperity; usually (morally) innocence. It has been translated full, integrity, perfect (-ion), simplicity, upright (-ly, -ness), at a venture. This word is from the root word תּמם pronounced taw-mam'. It means; to complete, in a good or a bad sense, literally or figuratively. So what is God’s truth? It is His completeness, fixed and sure, His Stability that He offers us. His establishing us in His integrity, His straightforwardness, His prosperity found in His innocence. It is firm and secure, His Moral fidelity, His faith in us, His understanding that is found in His knowledge and wisdom. Which is through His love that is only found in Him in the Body of Christ, the Way and the Truth. And in Him only we experience His fostering and nurturing. His way, the way that He designed to give us life. That is the Gospel in truth in Christ.

Romans 10. The purpose of the Law is to show us what we are to be like; not make us. The end of the Law for righteousness is exactly the intent of the Author once we are brought to Christ through the Gospel. Here follow along as we look at the context. Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. Israel, those who would stand with God were not standing in His power. In and with His heart and mind. They were not contending with Him against the world and all it's ways. They had a zeal, a fervantly emotional ardor intensity of God, But not according to understanding, Not according to the knowledge. The recognition which comes only from receiving the Gospel; having our hearts and minds transformed by His Spirit. A changed heart and mind; repentant, rescued, saved, delivered from the stiff necked hard heartedness that we have acquired through the deceitfulness of sin. The life of the unrepentant. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. The righteousness of God. The straight and narrow path, that comes from the faith due to a changed heart and mind. He has placed His laws in our minds and written them in our hearts. No longer is the ministration to be from the Law written on tables of stone, but from the fleshly tables of the heart. Behold a body has He prepared, Christ, the Temple of God. Now therefore we are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom you also are built together. His Temple, the Body of Christ for an habitation, of God through the Spirit. For it is God that worketh in us both to will and do His good pleasure as Jesus said, “He doeth the work”. (Eph 2:19-22) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. No longer an outward observance from tables of stone but an inward one from the fleshly tables of the heart. We are a new creature, the Body of Christ with new hearts and new minds: His. No longer us but Christ. We are dead crucified with Him, nevertheless we live, yet not us but Christ vicariously through us. The life we now live in the flesh we live through the Faith of Christ; for it is His heart and mind that drives us. All things now are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; The changed heart and mind that is available to us through the Gospel of God and His Christ (2 Cor 5:18) Have Faith!!!! For the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The Word, Christ, the Law, God’s ways, His heart and mind is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that we may do it. That is, the word of faith, which we preach; and that is the Gospel. (Rom 10:1-4,6-8; Deut 30:14)

The purpose of Christ sacrifice was the removal of sin. To make the believer cleansed and thereby enabling them to be sinnless through God's indwelling Spirit. Lets talk about the Atonement , the At one ment. In the Greek it is, καταλλαγή and it means; an adjustment of a difference, restoration. It is from the root word καταλλάσσω, and it is a compound word form καταwhich means down (in place or time) And ἀλλάσσω which means make other than it is, change, alter. Which in it's simplest direct translation means positional change, altered, the differences being placed apart from us; downed. And since we were the one that needed to be different God sent His son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in his flesh. He was manifested to take away our sin and in Him is no sin, Jesus Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge (cleanse) our conscience (inward man) from dead works (sin) to serve the living God, that the righteousness of the law be fulfilled in us by his indwelling spirit for it is God that worketh in us both to will and do his good pleasure. Sanctified, set apart for holy use, the temple of the most high God. Now this is really interesting. Forgiveness in the Greek is ἄφεσις, and it means freedom. It is from the root word ἀφίημι which means send forth. Gods forgiveness and atonement is a separation from sin; a sending forth; We are separated from it. And this is out of love and His desire to have the most intimate relationship that he can have with us, the at one ment. This my friends is the one and only Gospel. The point of it all the secret of our success. For we through the atonement are members of His body, of his flesh, and of His bones. Which is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the begining of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things through Christ. Of whom the whole family in heaven is named. That he has granted us according to the riches of His glory, Stengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man. Christ dwelling in our hearts by faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. That is, Christ in us the Hope of Glory. For With men it is and was impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

It is a gift. We are righteous, cleansed, purified now because God has made us so through the blood of Christ inside and out. Done deal, Purified, cleansed , justified, made righteous we are now capable to be anointed by the Oil, His Spirit. A vessel made fit for Holy use to do righteous acts through the prodding and power of His Spirit . For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience (who you are) from dead works (sin, acts that cause death) to serve the living God? For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. But we know he was manifested to take away our sins; That the body of sin be destroyed So He said, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed. So be healed, labor to there is sweat on our brows, let us strive as if our very existence depended on it. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. We as the Body of Christ, the Temple of God have been made fit for Holy use. To do righteous acts with His Spirit according to His working, which worketh in us mightily. For it is God that worketh in us both to will and do His good pleasure. Through the anointing of His Spirit, He doeth the work. We have been given the capability to be one with the Father and His Christ. Jesus prayed, "As thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." So lets be one with God and go and sin no more, that the world may believe, for he has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. However if we spend our whole lives living in sin; sinning, never fully using what has been availed to us then we will get what our fruits entitle. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. 1 Pet 2:24;1 Jo 3:5; Heb 9:13-14; 10:4, 9-10; Jo 17:20-21; Heb 10:26,27; 6:4-6; 10:38-39[/QUOTE]
